Join IMAX as we work to raise money for the American Red Cross Hurricane Sandy relief effort. For every $20 donated, you will receive a chance to win this stunning original life-sized mermaid sculpture, and IMAX will contribute matching donations.*
As the country watched the coverage of Hurricane Sandy and saw the level of destruction and number of victims (including many of our own customers and sales reps) left in it’s wake, it was apparent that massive relief efforts would be necessary and ongoing for months and years to come. Our entire IMAX family knew immediately that we wanted to help in some way.
Already in progress was an amazing life-size body cast sculpture of a mermaid as part of the January market promotion for IMAX. The mermaid is the creative work of artist Colleen Stiles, and is inspired by one of the new season’s trends – Splash – a colorful, Bohemian take on coastal.
